Web Traffic and Internet Advertising

General

When it comes to Internet advertising, there is a fine line between great advertising and junk.

In any Internet marketing campaign it is important to carefully monitor the results of your marketing efforts and make changes to your campaign as necessary. This is important because you want to make sure your marketing efforts are paying off and the best way to do this is to evaluate the results of your advertising carefully.

Some business owners get carried away trying to get as much web traffic and exposure as possible and can sometimes go overboard and wind up being considered evil.

Internet users who see your advertisement in a couple of key locations will likely notice the advertisement and may be compelled to visit your website immediately or may keep your website in mind for future use. This can be harmful because they are not likely to visit your website because they expect it to not be worthwhile.

    Hi Steve
I am currently doing a coaching course with one of Alex Jeffery's pals. I enjoy looking around othe folk's sites and learning from them. I agree that there is a fine line between helping folk and just becoming a nuisance.
I do hope you are enjoying the challenges – from one Aussie to another. you are in very good hands with Alex Jeffery.
    good luck with your endeavours

    Hi Steve

Yes we all want traffic. It is like blood we all need it to stay alive in internet marketing.

A little about me – My name is Sue McDonald and I am a student of Mark Terrell and I am actually going through the course a second time – by invitation. I love it and know if I do all he says, I will be successful. I am Australian but the US is my second home as I have family there and visit quite often. This is why I started Internet Marketing so I can travel whenever I want and have the money to do what I want.

Well I hope you are doing well and you become very successful. I would love you to come visit my blog and leave a comment.

    Kind regards

    Sue

PS I have read that one about crabs in the bucket before. I wish our subscribers would act like that – once they get in they don’t want to get out.

    Hey Steve

I have just come for a visit to your site. How are you going?

Yes it’s Mark and I am following my students as they post on other peoples blogs. They don’t know that I am always checking to see they are getting results. I am passionate about helping them achieve and then they are able to make some money online exactly the same as I am doing. It is not really difficult as long as they are willing to put in the effort.

    Keep up the good work.

    Regards

    Mark

    Hi Steve!

The concept of conversion isn’t one that comes very quickly to new Internet Marketers, at least for me. The idea of “Throwing it up against the wall” in great volume is natural to those of us who are new and, well, relatively clueless!

Eventually the concept of working smarter rather than working harder sets in. There are only SO many hours in a day after all!

Traffic without conversion is just a waste of effort so the focus needs to be on conversion. I’d love to hear your thoughts on this as well as your strategies!

Drop me a line when you get the time,

    Lesley
